Weight Loss, Performance & Confidence

I was previously a binge eater with limited to no hunger cues and Ruby helped me to understand this and put it to practice in both everyday nutrition as well as performance.

 

She’s assisted me, both professionally and personally, through a 6 month long cut where I lost around 8kgs to drop down a weight class in powerlifting.

 

She’s helped in making me feel comfortable in my own skin again and helps in providing meal options for meals as well as a sneaky treat everyday. I couldn’t have done my competing on weight loss without her on my side.

Education For Generations to Come

I’ve always struggled with an “all or nothing” approach to foods and diets. Having Ruby coach me through not only how to understand food and better ways to manipulate my food to suit my goals but she also taught me how to love my body in whatever form it’s in.

The lessons I learned about gratitude with food and for my body is something I’ll hold onto forever and pass onto future generations.

 

I now no longer see food as good or bad and have a much healthier relationship with my body.

Ongoing Guidance & Support

Prior to engaging with Ruby I just felt like any nutritional guidance or advice was a cookie cutter approach. One thing that really stood out to me was how we had an initial call to get a better understanding of goals, habits, triggers and even things I like and don’t like.

 

The take away from this engaging conversation was that I actually had (past tense) an unhealthy relationship with food and Ruby helped me understand this.

Creating Healthy Champions

I found Ruby at a time where I was frustrated with having to work out the best nutrition plan for myself as a competitive powerlifter.  I had goals that I wanted to achieve, but with the internet providing too much conflicting information about what I should be eating, when, and how much, I had no idea where to start.

We have been working together for nearly two years now, and in that time I’ve been NZ National Champion twice, started competing internationally, have broken multiple national records, and most recently, three world records. ​

I would absolutely recommend Ruby to anyone who is looking for help with their nutrition - her empathy and kindness mean that you always feel like you’re in safe hands, she truly wants you to succeed whatever your goal might be, and she makes herself available to help whenever you need it...
